Will my callers know they're talking to an AI?+
Yes. The agent identifies itself as an AI receptionist on every call — by design. This is both our policy and a regulatory expectation in most markets. Callers can also ask at any time and get a direct answer. We don't believe in passing AI off as a human.
What happens when I hit the minute cap?+
Overage kicks in at $0.15 / min — there is no service interruption. Calls continue. A warning email + in-portal banner appear at 80% of your monthly allowance so you can decide whether to upgrade tier before overage kicks in. Overage is billed at $0.15/min — no service interruption, no surprises.
Can it transfer to a real person?+
Yes. You define the transfer rules: what words or situations trigger a live transfer and which number or extension it routes to. The agent does a warm transfer — it stays on briefly to give the receiving staff member the caller's name and reason before dropping off.
Does it work after hours?+
Always. That's the main reason to have it. You can configure separate after-hours behavior — take a message instead of booking, for example — or have it behave identically 24/7. Your choice.
What about HIPAA — can I use this for a medical practice?+

What are my cancellation options?+
Two options, both available in your portal under /receptionists: (1) Cancel at period end — keep access through the end of your current billing period with no refund; (2) Cancel immediately + prorated refund — lose access right away and receive a refund of the unused portion of the current period back to your original card. Stripe calculates the exact refund amount at the time of cancellation.
